As part of the ongoing scientific achievements of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center at the University of Anbar, and under the direct supervision and close follow-up of the Center’s Director, Prof Dr. Yousif Al-Mashhadany, Assistant Lecturer Sami Abdul-Jabbar Rasheed Al-Fahdawi, in collaboration with Dr. Mustafa Muad Hamdi, a faculty member at the College of Computer Science at the University of Anbar, along with researchers from the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and international collaborators, succeeded in publishing their research paper entitled: "Face Recognition Using Optimized Multi-Task Cascaded CNN in Artificial Intelligence Systems" in the Baghdad Science Journal, which is ranked in the second quartile (Q2) according to global scientific journal classifications. This achievement is the result of productive scientific cooperation between the Biomedical Engineering Research Center and both national and international research institutions. The goal of this collaboration is to develop an intelligent security system based on artificial intelligence and deep learning technologies, contributing to the enhancement of critical infrastructure security. This joint effort exemplifies a successful model of the University of Anbar’s openness to partnerships with governmental entities and reputable international universities, thereby strengthening the academic standing of the Center both locally and globally.
